NOICE — A Book
Proof of Work
Most photography books teach you how to use a camera. This one teaches you how to see — and then follows that thread further than you might expect.
Proof of Work is a philosophical book about attention. What you pay it to. What it costs. What it builds over time. It starts with photography because photography is the clearest practice I know for training your eye. But the ideas don't stay there.
Photography taught me that you can't fake a developed eye. Years of looking, editing, discarding, returning — that's not a shortcut. It's the thing itself. The same is true of how you spend your time, your energy, your attention. The same is true of what you build.
I started NOICE in 2015 out of frustration with how photography was being consumed online. This book is the long version of everything I've learned since — about seeing, about value, about what it means to build something that lasts.
