What makes a good photograph?
I think being close to people, empathy, the desire to understand them, but also perseverance and consistency and a ton of humility.
Understatement – according to theory, it's a rhetorical figure in which a certain situation or emotional state is presented in a way that minimizes its actual significance. We convey only partial information about a given event, attitudes, behaviors, and circumstances; it's an intentional act intended to evoke emotions in the recipient and prompt reflection. The idea is for the part to be seen as the whole, for the fragmentary to seem authoritative, and for the exaggerated to distract from the true meaning. I try to leave something unsaid. Is what I present truly what is visible at first glance? I try to surprise, amuse, or perhaps sadden, by diverting attention from the essence of the matter, which is a commentary on reality and the emotional depths trying to break free from the framework within which I function as a human being, a man, a resident of a country like Poland. I hope it's understandable, apart from that, I'm just an ordinary guy with a camera, I use photography to express what I feel.
