Ask the Concrete is a long-term photographic project exploring marginal urban environments and the quiet tension embedded in built landscapes. The work moves through peripheral spaces, unfinished structures, and fragments of concrete architecture where presence and absence seem to coexist. Rather than describing specific places, the photographs approach these environments as psychological territories shaped by time, expectation, and suspended possibility. The project unfolds through a restrained visual sequence where images accumulate gradually, allowing meaning to emerge from rhythm, repetition, and interruption. The project was born from a question: why do I photograph what I photograph? So I questioned myself until I revealed my teenage self, the suburbs where I lived, and my untapped potential.
