This series looks at the strange beauty of ordinary American places like bedrooms, backyards, motels, gas stations, aging houses, discarded objects, and the spaces in between. Moving between harsh daylight, artificial light, and darkness, the photographs turn familiar scenes into something slightly unreal. The work is less about documenting specific places than the feeling they leave behind: nostalgia, isolation, comfort, decay, and the sense that something has just happened or is about to.
