MOTORSTUDIES is a photographic study which questions the car into its representation but which also uses it as a referent and a measurement tool.
It’s a documentary about the issues, the challenges and the aesthetics that are caused and generated by the automobile realm. Taking place in Los Angeles, every itinerary that has been followed was photographed so to build a database of the city.
The different points of view, of the driver or of the passenger but also the one from the pedestrian, are mixed up in order to create fragments of a global story. The automobile is the epicenter of a big mechanism that affects and infects the environment, even beyond the lines defined by roads.
